What is Glaucoma?

Glaucoma results from damage to the optic nerve which is the part of the eye that sends vision signals to the brain.

What causes Glaucoma?

The cause of glaucoma is unknown however treatment with daily medicated eye drops or surgical procedures can maintain vision.

What age are you at risk?

Anyone can get glaucoma but it most frequently occurs in people over the age of 40.

Regular eye exams with advanced diagnostic testing at Dr. Mallary Eisner's office can detect glaucoma in its earliest stages. Our testing does not require the air puff test.
